I do not have a sweet tooth. I do not have a sweet tooth. And i’ll say it again, I do not have a sweet tooth. Unless you put chocolate or a cookie in front of me…… I do not have a sweet tooth.
Or at least I never did until now. I moved to the land of cheese and yet now I want dessert at the end of my meals. What. Happened. To. Me. ??
One of my favorite treats brings me back to New York City and traipsing through Little Italy. But mostly it brings me back to being a kid in Italy and eyeing up the bakeries.. … The. Real. Deal.
And when the Italian market here advertises the best in the city; how could I deny my newly found love of dessert a taste test?
CANNOLI ….. Cannoli in Sicilian/Italian means little tube. I believe historically Cannoli was served only seasonally. And rumor has it, the cannoli was thought to be a symbol of fertility… before my mind wanders to inappropriate thoughts/images about cannoli and fertility, how about some eye candy:
I think my nonexistent… I mean newly developed sweet tooth is satisfied.

holy cannoli is right, those are beautiful!
