Best Laid Plans

Sometimes the best laid ideas get sidetracked.

Inspiration that doesn’t come to fruition.

A blizzard of a storm and too much else going on.

(Side note: have I mentioned my ultimate dream is to live on a beach from December-March? Which could be why I purchased half the warm and fuzzy department of Target today….)

Sometimes, an idea just needs to fester, grow and to develop into something more.

While that best laid plan gets put on hold, what could be better than popping into a new to me place?

What do you do when plans change? How do you foster inspiration?

  1. I’m not always so great with changing plans… Which is why I try to think long and hard about what my goals are. I’ve started to make plans with people without a destination, that way I don’t get my sights set on checking out a certain restaurant (cough, sunday, wrong town…). That copper hen salad looks amazing!

  2. That place looks awesome. And yay for seasonal beach living! I’m so there. I think for me when I get burned out, or sidetracked or frustrated, art is really therapeutic for me. i’m not very good at it, but I love watercoloring and scrapbooking, or making cards/gifts for people. 🙂
